BABY CARD

Hasnt this year flown by, not long till we are in the last quarter!  I made this baby card for a friends new baby.  The image is from wee stamps which I have coloured with water colour pencils.  On the inside I have made a pocket for a tag, and have decorated it with a  baby sentiment.  The opposite page has a doily, a butterfly cut from a papertry die, a rose from WOC, and a charm in the shape of a rocking horse. A magnolia die called Tildas old lace, has been used for all the lace trimmings and the paper is pink and white spot on one side and pink and white stripes on the reverse which worked well with both side differing slightly. Its been a while

Gosh its been a while.  A lot of working and sleeping and not much else for the past three weeks.  The other chef cut her finger so I had to step up and do both shifts and it has been taxing to say the least.  I have had a couple of days off now to get myself back in the zone and am feeling a lot better. The card today is a round easel card for something different for me.  The papers are Bearly Mine, with kraft cardstock.  The image is from Tickled pink stamps, vintage Evie, who has been coloured in monochrome.  Ive added hat netting accross the top to give a veiled effect, along with pearls and feathers to complete the Charleston look.  Im not sure where I bought this lace from, but it was ideal for using on a circle.  The flowers are from W>O>C. along with some crystalina glitter.  Im entering my card today in two challenges:

Bea

Another week has flown past, where has this year gone?  This week Ive used Teddy Bea as my image and dont you just love her!
 The colour scheme was decided  when I saw I still had some of this DP left.  Its by Keeping Memories alive - Simple     Expressions- called Sophisticated Swirl, with  kraft and white american crafts card.
The tag is  a magnolia doo hickey die, and the ticket and sentiment stamp are from Whimsy.  Lace, flowers and seam binding from W.O. Crafts UK.

Wee Florist

Its a great day for crafting, its snowing outside and that means indoor activities only!  The fire is roaring and its nice and toasty.  This is  another nice little stamp from Wee stamps, this ones called Wee Florist. I was mucking around with this for ages, mainly with the papers.  The colour is soo not me.  At last this is the end result.  The card is from American crafts, two colours, butter and mint, and basil cardstock in black.  The papers are Prima, Annalee collection called poetry. Lots of glitter and glitz with gold stickles and glitter, Martha Stewart lemon seam binding for the bow, and butterflys. The flowers are from W.O. crafts, and the image is coloured with w/c pencils.  I have entered this card in Southern Girls challenge 23 Happy Birthday, CLP Sketch (as above) and The Paper Shelters  GREEN!  Thanks for looking :-)

This is Lylah, a stamp from Tickled Pink Stamps Victorian range, very cute.  Ive used vintage blue flat surface card, with a peach flocked spot card - from tea at Elsies by Kaisercraft.  Some handmade black paper which is embossed with crystalina sits on top of the  white doily  from W.O. Crafts as are the flowers.  The tag is the new die out from Magnolia - along with hearts flourish. The edging is punched with a Martha Stewart round the page punch set, and finally the sentiment is from Whimsey stamps. Im entering this card Tickled Pink Emmas sketch, Southern Girls Anything Goes, and The paper Shelter challenge 18 punches and dies.  Tks for looking have a great day :-)

WINTER

This is a card that makes you feel chilly.  The challenge over at Craft and Create is to depict the season where you live.  Ive used the very cute Wee stamp called winter fairy and coloured her with w/c  pencils, the wings and snow are glittered with stickles.The sentiment is sitting on the new Doo Hickey tag die, along with the Magnolia heart swirl. I have added some beads to the crystal pin which is nice for a change.  The flowers are from W.Orchid.  Have a nice day and thanks for looking :-)

Celebration

Good morning, a dull gloomy day, just right for indoors!  I have made this card for my brother in laws 63rd  birthday.  Hes a hard case and likes a joke, so I though that this would be ideal.  The image is another cutie  from The Paper Shelter.
Ive covered the dancers costume withred glitter and she has diamonds for a necklace.  The checked paper is from Pavlova, and the stars I stamped out myself, the sentiments I made myself and ribbon is from my stash.  Im entering this card in the celebration challenge over at The Paper Shelter. 

Xmas Card

Getting started early for Xmas cards lol,  this is a Tickled Pink stamp called Lestat, and hes cool.  I made his hat, so that he looks nice and Xmas like.  Other than Santa there are not many male images for Xmas cards.  The papers are from Kaisercraft Xmas range from last year, and the sentiment I made.  Ive entered this card into Southern Girls challenge and a Chrstmas challenge over at tickled pink.  The sun is out so am hoping to have a nice day. Queens Birthday Weekend in NZ

Its been a while, dont know where the time goes.  Ive asssembled a new version of this easel card which I have always had a soft spot for. This is a stamp from tickled pink stamps called Evie.  Ive put some hat netting over the top half of the image for a different twist, and an ostrich feather for a bit of glam.  I have entered this card over at Claudia and Co challenge for fancy folds.  Hope to get some more cards made today, its windy and getting chilly.

Anything Goes

Good Morning, Ive completed this cute little card for two challenges:  Anything Goes at The Paper Shelter,  Dies to die for over at Lets Craft and Create and the Southern Girls Challenge, Pearls and Lace.
Recipe:  Black card stock, the 20's paper from The Paper Shelter, velvet spot paper from Kaisercraft Tea at Elsies pad, No 1 labels from spellbinders, flowers W.O.C. lace from Kaisercraft. The gorgeous stamp is from The Paper Shelter.

Distress challenge

This little card is for the TPS distress challenge # 21.
The stamp is Lil Lolita Lilith, isnt she stunning.  Recipe is brown cardstock, craft card, film strip 7 gypsys, birdcage kaisercraft, flowers wild orchid, stamps for sentiments whimsey.  Netting from stash, the muslin flower was made out of my old hippie dress from the 60s, hey I wont be wearing it again so thought it would be a good idea to recycle it, so Ive made a start.  The lace punch for the edge is from Martha Stewart.
Didnt have to get new tyres for my car, just some new hoses that came from out of town so it had a sleep over at the Toyota Garage.  I though $325.00 was expensive for 2 hoses lol!  Thanks for looking :-)

Birthday card/Girl

Another nice day to get some walking done. No tyres needed for my warrant but we needed hoses of some sort and they had to get them from somewhere else, so the wee car had a sleep over at the Toyota Garage!

Vintage

Good Morning a drizzle day today, took my car down for a warrant first thing and walked back!  My exercise for the day.  Now Im keeping my fingers crossed that I dont need new tyres at $200 each.  Still you have to be safe.  Ive made this card for the vintage challenge over at Tickled Pink stamps.  I never colour in brown its just usually black and white so this was a big deal for me.  Not sure if I like the brown, but anyway here it is.  The background is a new technique that they were showcasing over at SCS.  Its a good way of using up scraps and bits, nice effect I though.  The wooden flourish is distressed with crackle paint, and has blue underneath.  Flowers from WOcrafts, ticket and stamp from Whimsey, white bakers twine.  I painted the hearts and tied them with wire for a different effect.  The rest is from my stash.  Hope everyone is having a great day.  Thanks for looking, and do appreciate your comments:-)

A Sewing challenge

Another blustery day so I can justify staying indoors!  I made this little card for  the sewing challenge over at Craft and Create.  Ive used grey card and paper from pink petticoat,and a cool 60's stamp from Tickled pink stamps (shes one of my favourites)!  Flowers from W. Another Day in Paradise!

Ive been meaning to get this blog underway for a while now but its just finding the time, so am pleased Im up and running.  Have been cardmaking today, have fallen in luv with my new digi image from tickled pink stamps called Evie, she is GOR-GEOUS!  Ive made three different cards with the same image, and using my favourite colours black and white and a small acent here and there.  She lends herself feathers and glam!

Really love this new Stamp

Gosh the winds here today have wrecked havoc, the house next doors big brick fence came down and went through their window, what a noise it made.  So you will gather that the day isnt for walking, so I'll have to stick to the tredmill downstairs later!  I bought three new stamps yesterday and HAD to start on them straight away.  Isnt she adorable?
Recipe: White card, pink striped cardstock from stash, grey floral and grey backing card from pink petticoat.  Heart doily and flowers from O.Crafts, spellbinders butterfly, gingham ribbon, sentiment stamp from Whimsey, pink pearls  from stash.  Hope the weather continues, have two more to try out lol!  Ive entered this card in Challenge #81 (Butterflies) over at Claudia and Co.

Another cool day, but still managed to get a 6km walk in.  Did some babysitting for my great nephew Ryan and that was a load of fun.  Ive managed to get another card done this week, this is for the Tickled Pink stamps sketch challenge.  This is the fabulous stamp Lilth from their Lolitas range.

Challenge

Its been a while but here we go again, have been distracted with work! Ive made this little card for the Say it with flowers, over at Let's Craft and Create challenge.  The weather is drizzle so what better way to fill in the day with crafting and baking.

I have made cheese scones, so that keeps the hubby happy and now to spend the rest of the day crafting aahh heaven!

ANZAC DAY

This a national day that New Zealand and Australians celebrate and remember the fallen in all the wars.  ANZAC means Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.  We shall remember them. x
